Regular Wednesday Schedule

The experience of waking up later on Wednesdays is a small midweek motivation to continue showing up to school. Even though the extra hours of sleep are enjoyed by most, school officials have been pushing for a change and removed our beloved Wednesday schedule.

Students that were on campus last year remember the inconsistent Wednesday schedule. The “supposed” timeline was a late start every other week, but the actual pattern became more similar to a singular late start once a month, if we were lucky. Officials at the school have decided on more consistency in the schedule, but they have raised concerns about starting later.

Some officials have found anecdotal research that more-rested students misbehave more. The likelihood of skipping class and generally causing problems is directly related to the amount of positivity and rest a student receives in the morning. Eliminating late start also removes stress from keeping another complicated schedule, as well will now rotate from simply odd to even days.

It is expected that this schedule will be met with some outrage from fellow students, but this schedule will prove to be more beneficial in the long run. From the lower likelihood of disruptions to the preparation for eventual workforce, many students are expected to eventually adjust well.

Happy April Fools'!
