2025 is shaping up to be an exciting year for local foodies! Over the next few months, several new food chains will be establishing locations across Santa Clarita. Here are the ones you should look out for:Ā

  1. Raising CanesĀ

A Raising Canes location will be opening up in late September, replacing the recently closed Rubio's Coastal Grill in the Promenade on McBean Parkway. The chain is known for their combo plates, which include chicken fingers, crinkle cut fries, a fountain drink, their famous Canes sauce, as well as your choice of thick-cut Texas toast or coleslaw. Once it opens, this location is sure to be very popular with VHS students for casual hangouts or post football game meals.Ā

  1. Dutch BrosĀ

Starbucks haters can rejoice because a new coffee chain is finally coming to Santa Clarita. Headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Dutch Bros is known for its extensive menu, which includes standard coffee shop offerings, as well as protein coffees, energy drinks, shakes, smoothies, and sparkling sodas. Some of their most popular menu items include the Annihilator, which is a chocolate macadamia nut latte, and the 9-1-1, which contains 6 shots of espresso. While the company has not announced an official opening date, it is expected to open its doors sometime during the summer, and it will be replacing the Waffle Love location in the Gateway Village Plaza.Ā

  1. Porto’sĀ

Santa Clarita residents can finally stop driving into Northridge or Glendale to get their fix of Cuban pastries, because a Porto’s location is finally coming to SCV! This new location, which is expected to open in November of 2025, will be replacing the Joann in Centre Point Village. It is slated to be one of their largest locations yet, and will offer their signature baked goods, cakes, sandwiches, drinks, and more. Some of their most popular menu items are their guava cheese strudels, tres leches cake, chicken croquettes, and cuban sandwich.Ā

  1. CAVAĀ

Amidst rumors of Chipotle declaring bankruptcy and shutting down their stores, it's clear that Santa Clarita needs another build-your-own-bowl restaurant. The casual Mediterranean chain will be located in the new Sand Canyon Shopping Plaza and is expected to open at the end of the summer. At Cava, customers can choose from one of the signature bowls, such as the Falafel Crunch and Harissa Avocado, or opt to make their own bowl with any combination of greens, grains, and toppings. They also offer wraps, unique flavors or lemonade, and exceptionally delicious pita chips.Ā
