Get into the holiday spirit at Light Up Main Street, one of Santa Clarita’s most anticipated annual events. Its location is in Old Town Newhall from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Families and teens can enjoy live music performances, delicious food trucks, holiday-themed games, and local vendor shopping. The highlight of the evening is the official lighting of the Christmas tree, which transforms Old Town Newhall into a sparkling winter wonderland. Santa Clarita Marathon The Santa Clarita Marathon is a must-do for active people looking for a fun fall challenge. The race takes place on November 9  along the beautiful Santa Clarita bike path at Valencia Heritage Park, 24155 Newhall Ranch Road. The Full Marathon will start at 7:00 AM, the Half Marathon at 7:15 AM, the 10K at 7:30 AM, and the 5K at 7:45 AM. Entrance fees range from  $65 to $165. The marathon will start and finish at Valencia Heritage Park, making it safe with no auto traffic to worry about. After the race, participants can enjoy post-race street tacos and celebrate their accomplishments. Thanksgiving 5K

Kick off Thanksgiving weekend with the Fourth Annual Thanksgiving 5K! The event will take place in Valencia Heritage Park, 24155 Newhall Ranch Road, on November 29 at 8:00 AM. Tickets and information can be found here. This flat, scenic course runs along the Santa Clarita bike path, making it perfect for runners of all levels. Every participant receives over $100 worth of merchandise, including goodies and fun giveaways.
