Musical Events in Santa Clarita

Santa Clarita has a great number of performing arts events that are performed by hardworking and talented individuals. These events can be a great way to engage with friends, family, or even by yourself. These noteworthy musical events are performed by Innovation Show Choir, ESCAPE Theater, and Canyon Theater Guild. 

Innovation Show Choir

Innovation Show Choir is a youth-performing ensemble in Santa Clarita that engages in musical performances with phenomenal vocals and choreography. They perform a wide variety of music genres such as pop songs, Broadway classics, holiday jingles, and more. Innovation Show Choir consists of talented youth from 3rd to 12th grade. This ensemble has performed at many events like the Festival of Trees, Boys & Girls Club, Relay for Life, and SCV Senior Center.

Their next performance will be on Sunday, March 17 from 4:00-6:00 PM. They will be performing a Broadway Tribute Concert. Tickets are available on their website, and are $10 for students. Check out more information about the Innovation Show Choir here! 

ESCAPE Theater

ESCAPE Theater, a local youth-focused theatrical production company, will be performing Oliver this June! On June 20-23 of this year, 8 productions of the show will be shown at the Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons. The shows are split into two casts, meaning if you choose to see two in one day, the leads will be completely different. 

ESCAPE features a lively ensemble cast as well, and the ages of their cast ranges from 1st grade to 12th, adding to the magic of the show and contributing to its realism. ESCAPE productions always include a live orchestra as well!

After Oliver, registration will be available for kids 3rd-8th grade for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, their summer production, and Annie, their winter production for the start of next season. 

Canyon Theater Guild

Canyon Theater Guild is another local theater company in the Santa Clarita Valley, though it is not specifically designed for those who are underage. This March, they will be performing Xanadu, an 80’s inspired musical that features songs from the Electric Light Orchestra!

There are other shows that the company has planned for this year, including Neil Simon’s Come Blow Your Horn and their special improv comedy nights. More information can be found on their website, canyon theatre.org!
